Terms of Use

These Terms of Use apply to all software applications, websites, projects, prototypes, and services published or maintained by Kiera Makes Things ("Services"), including Catflakes, Passport Buddy, Time Here, Time There, and Time Since Chore Reminder. By downloading or using a Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

For apps downloaded from Apple's App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If these Terms and Apple's agreement conflict, Apple's agreement controls for anything related to the App Store.

License

You may use the Services for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or redistribute the Services except as allowed by law or by an open-source license that applies to specific code.

In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

• Some Services offer optional paid upgrades. Apple processes all payments through your Apple Account; prices are shown in the app before you buy.
• Subscriptions (monthly or yearly) renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings under your Apple Account → Subscriptions, or from the app's Manage option where available.
• If a free trial or offer code is provided, any unused portion of the free period ends when you buy a subscription, where applicable.
• Lifetime and other one-time purchases unlock features for as long as the app is available and supports them. They can be restored on other devices using the same Apple Account with Restore Purchases.
• Consumable purchases, such as Catflakes pet photo credits, are used up when you add a photo. Removing a pet does not return its credit.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Features, limits, and prices may change in future versions. Features you have already paid for will not be removed for purchases you have already made, except where a feature can no longer be supported for technical or legal reasons.

Information in the Apps Is Not Advice

Travel, visa, passport, and pet travel information in Passport Buddy, and time zone information in Time Here, Time There, is provided for general guidance only. It may be incomplete or out of date. Always confirm requirements with official sources, such as government, embassy, airline, or veterinary authorities, before you book or travel. You are responsible for decisions you make based on the Services.

Your Content

Photos, trips, chores, cities, and other things you add stay on your device and remain yours. You are responsible for having the right to use any photos you add, and for keeping your own backups.

Acceptable Use

Do not use the Services to break the law, infringe others' rights, or interfere with the Services or anyone else's use of them.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kiera Makes Things is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, missed travel, or lost profits, arising from your use of the Services. Total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months before the claim.

How information is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.

Changes

These Terms may be updated periodically. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continuing to use a Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
